Schedule

  • Morning track 7-8am
  • Breakfast 8-8:30am
  • Morning practice 9-11am
  • Lunch Noon-1pm
  • Afternoon practice 1:30-3:30pm
  • Pool 3:30-4:30pm
  • Dinner 5-6pm
  • Evening practice and private lessons 6:30-9:30pm

Training for all levels; private lessons available in addition to camp

Fencers ages 10 and older, beginner to advanced are invited to attend. Younger may attend with permission of a coach. Students should have their own electric equipment and be competition ready.  


There are a limited number of parent-chaperone spaces available for a reduced fee (room and all meals; activities are not included).


There will be activities at the track and swimming pool to provide cross training for the daily fencing sessions. There will be three fencing sessions, morning, afternoon and evening.

  •   Check-in: 12-3 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2026.  Fencers should eat lunch prior to check-in; the first meal will be dinner on the 13th.
  • Check-out: 10AM-Noon on Saturday, June 20, 2026.  The last meal served will be breakfast on June 22nd.
  • Fencers may bring extra drinks and snacks; three meals a day will be provided in the college cafeteria and the dorms do have kitchenettes.
  • The beds are college dorm sized twins.  Fencers must provide their own bedding, pillows and linens (towels, wash clothes, etc.). There are no convenience stores near campus.
  • Private lessons are available for an additional fee; we will have signup available on line in the future.


Fencers arriving by air should fly into DFW Airport.  We will make arrangements to pick you up and take you to the campus; we will transport you back to the airport.  It takes approximately 2 hours to drive to Sherman from DFW.  Please allow enough time for travel when making flight schedules.

Fees:

  • A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required by May 20th with the balance due by June 1st. (You may pay in installments.)   
  • $795 if paid in full before midnight May 25th; $845 after May 25th.  This is less than $115/day for room, 3 meals, three intensive training sessions, and cross-training in track and swimming.  (No discounts for partial week drop ins; payment must be made for the entire camp.)
  • We have limited space for parent chaperones to stay in the dorms for a discount. (Contact FIT Business Office if interested.) Chaperones must have a USA Fencing membership with added Check-Ed, USA Fencing background clearance, and SafeSport training completed prior to the first day of camp.

  • Day Camps are designed for multiple age groups, beginner to intermediate.
  • Multiple coaches; all certified by US Fencing Coaches Association
  • Campers supply their own sack lunch, snacks and drinks; FIT has a water cooler to fill water bottles.

  • 6-9 year old athletes may attend half days, 9-11am for $145
  • 10 and older attend full days, 9am - 4pm for $275
  • 15% discount for siblings (first pays full fees)
  • $25 off if you attend another camp later in the summer.
